Restaurant Antico Martini

The restaurant Antico Martini is in the San Marco area right close to the famous theatre La Fenice, and is housed in an old historical palace from the 13th century.
After the opening of La Fenice Opera House in 1792, the restaurant became a favourite meeting place for artists, intellectuals, singers and conductors who patronized the coffee-house for their after-theatre revelries.
Today the famous restaurant offers the possibility to enjoy dinner in a perfect Venetian surrounding. The dishes you can find here are prepared with the greatest care and with the best ingredients the market has to offer. The season's early vegetables are given pride of place, and that is why the specialities change season to season. The fresh pasta, desserts, small pastries, ice-cream and parfaits are all home-made - the restaurant even smokes its own salmon.
